The times demand the truth
Tilang First Guru.
As comes to me the Bani of my Beloved, O Lalo,
So do I communicate the knowledge
Sin's wedding party has come, O Lalo,
From Kabul demanding marriage by force
Sense of shame and sense of right and wrong,
both have gone underground, O Lalo,
And the filth which separates us from Life moves about as the leader
The work of the Hindu and Muslim priests is over
As Satan reads the marriage vows
The Muslim women read the Semitic scriptures
and call upon Khuda in their suffering, O Lalo
The women of high caste and of low caste
Include in your account also, O Lalo
The sohila of blood is being sung
And blood is being sprinkled where saffron was, O Lalo.1
Nanak sings of the virtues of the King in the city of corpses
And gives this lesson: the Creator who allocates unique opportunities
Sits apart, watching our choices
True is the King, True His Judgement,
True His Justice providing lessons
When the body-clothing is ripped limb from limb
India will remember what I have said
They will come in 78 and leave in 97
When another disciple of heroism shall arise
Nanak speaks the Truth, Truth he tells everyone,
The times demand the Truth.
Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh!!
