Robbers beat teenager

A Wolverhampton teenager was beaten up by three robbers who stole his car.

The 17-year-old was sitting in his car at 11.45pm on Tuesday at Charles Wesley Court car park in Claremont Road, Penn Fields.

One of his attackers jumped in the car and started striking his face, leaving him with a chipped tooth, split lip, scratches, and bruising.

The other two offenders grabbed him and pulled him out of the car before repeatedly kicking him about the body.

They stole his mobile phone, £20 in cash, a gold rope chain and ring with a Sikh symbol on it, worth £100.

The robbers then got into his white Ford Fiesta XR2, registered H203NOA, and drove off.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said today: "This was a very serious assault on a young man which resulted him sustaining a number of injuries.

"We are keen to trace the culprits as soon as possible and would urge anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

"We are also eager to track down the white Ford Fiesta which was taken during the robbery."

The first attacker was black, aged 20, wearing a dark top, jeans and woollen hat. The others were also black.

Anyone with information should ring police on 01902 649010 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
