91 year old marathon runner sikhspirit.com

The London Marathon is taking place on Sunday 14 April this year. A contingent of Sikh runners will be taking part including Fauja Singh, the 91 year old who took up marathon running at the age of 89! He ran the London Marathon in 2000 and 2001 with a time of 6 hours 54 minutes in each year. This could be a world record in the over 90 year old age group. He will be raising money for the children's charity, Bliss. 
 
Other runners this year include Harmander Singh from Ilford, London, who will be running his 17th consecutive London marathon, again running for children's charities. Other runners include Harbagh Singh, running his 92nd marathon and Amrik Singh, 91, from Glasgow.
