Veteran
athlete Ajit Singh Kalirai was among a number of Sikhs who were
named in the Queen's Birthday Honours List. Ajit Singh was awarded an MBE
for services to athletics, earlier this year he
won a hat-trick of gold medals at the British Veterans Athletics Federation
Indoor Championships for the second year running. The
73-year-old
currently holds six British records.
